Dermal Fillers
(Hyaluronic acid, PLLA, CaHA, skin boosters, Exosomes, PDRN)
Immediately after the procedure, there may be redness, bruising, swelling, tenderness, and/or itching near the injection site(s).
You can use an ice pack and arnica cream (which you can buy from any pharmacist) to help with this.
Avoid drinking alcohol, strenuous exercise, this may increase the bruising and swelling in the area. Until the swelling and redness has gone down, please do not expose the area to intense heat, such as sunbathing, sunbeams, saunas, hot tubs or hot wax.
Also avoid extreme cold, such as skiing or hiking outdoors.
Exposure to frequent heat will also decrease how long the dermal filler lasts as heat will speed up how fast your body breaks down the molecules in the dermal filler. When in the sun, please wear sunscreen at all times.
Please avoid taking blood thinning medication for at least 48 hours after the procedure. If otherwise stated by your doctor.
You may take ibuprofen to help reduce swelling if you do not have a known contraindication to this medication.
Avoid applying make-up on the area for at least 12-24 hours after the procedure where possible.
After lip filler if lump(s) do appear, do not worry, this is completely normal. Please massage any lump(s) over a clean cloth that do appear and if they have not gone down in size 7 days post-treatment then please do get in contact with us.
Do NOT massage dermal fillers on any other areas such as nose, cheeks and chin as the doctor will have sculpted this area precisely and any excessive touching in the area may affect the results.
After the procedure please get in contact with us straight away if your pain levels start to increase and/or your skin colour starts to change to a dusky/bluish discolouration and/or you are experiencing any visual changes.
If you are prone to coldsores around the mouth, and this is the area which you want to be treated, ask your GP to prescribe Zovirax tablets for you, to be taken just before and a few days after the procedure.
For at least 24 hours after a non-surgical rhinoplasty please do not wear glasses/sunglasses and or sleep on your face as this may impact on your results.
Please do not apply any creams which contain alpha hydroxyl acid (AHA) for 1 week after the procedure.
Do NOT have laser hair removal ( in the area ), microdermabrasion, chemical peels and derma roller for at least 14 days post treatment.
If there is anything which is not clear or if you feel you are getting any side effects please contact us through our communication channels.
